Stuart Moseley has more than 30 years of experience in planning, urban management, and project delivery in the public and private sectors across five Australian State and Territory jurisdictions.
He has a strong track record of leading organisational change and planning reform encompassing strategy, policy, culture, and project delivery. He has been responsible for, or played a significant role in, metropolitan planning strategies for Greater Adelaide, South East Queensland, and Greater Sydney, and has been responsible for legislative reform of the South Australian and Queensland planning systems.
Prior to taking up the role of CEO of the VPA in June 2017, Stuart served as the Deputy Director General (Planning Group) in the Queensland Government. He is a former Chief Executive of the Adelaide City Council and has held executive roles in the South Australian and New South Wales Governments and in the consulting sector.
He is a Fellow and Registered Planner of the Planning Institute of Australia, a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a former National Vice President of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA).
Stuart is a reformer and a passionate advocate for outstanding urban environments.
